Fraunhofer IGB: Third place for Retina-on-a-chip project at the Science2Start competition

At the annual Science2Start competition organized by BioRegio STERN Management GmbH, Dr. Ing. Christopher Probst, scientist in the Organ-on-a-Chip group of the Fraunhofer Institute for Interfacial Engineering and Biotechnology IGB, reached place 3 with the Retina-on-a-Chip project.

With “Retina-on-a-Chip”, scientists at the Fraunhofer Institute for Interfacial Engineering and Biotechnology IGB in collaboration with the University of Tübingen have succeeded in recreating the complex human retina in a microphysiological system.
