„Vaccine development after COVID-19”
with Ole Olesen
Executive Director of the European Vaccine Initiative (EVI)
The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the important role of vaccines in combatting emerging infectious diseases. It has also demonstrated that collaboration between researchers, partnerships, sharing of data and results are key factors when developing new products to address a major public health crisis. The European Vaccine Initiative (EVI) is non-profit organisation, based in Heidelberg, that works with partners in Germany, Europe and globally to develop vaccines for global health. Focussing on bringing vaccine candidates from preclinical to early clinical development, EVI proposes an independent, lean and cost-efficient model to bring vaccine candidates into clinical development.
