Highlights of the year 2023 - Happy Holiday!

As the year draws to a close, we can look back on a successful 2023 for BioRN.
On December 15th 2023 the representatives of the 159 member companies and institutions gathered at the BioRN Network e.V. General Members´ Assembly in the Business Development Center at Heidelberg Technology Park to learn about the successful projects and highlights of the year 2023:
- The number of BioRN members increased again and we are happy to count 159 members.
- In the life science ecosystem Rhine-Neckar innovations find the ideal breeding ground for economic value creation.This year we had the privilege of writing about the developments and what a life science ecosystem needs to grow in EMBO Reports
- We are happy about the strong interest and increasing number of attendees at the BioRN networking formats BioRN Annual Conference, BioRN Lounge, BioRN Espresso and M2M Member to Member
- The expertise of Think Tanks "Investment" and "Data Exchange" were in great demand and supported initiatives such as the implementation of the Inno Growth BW
- BioRN has seen particularly positive developments in its flagship projects, beLAB2122 and BioLabs Heidelberg
- The softlanding services for SMEs in foreign markets (BiointeRNational) have been very well received. BioRN currently supports GutyCare, Osteobionix and Heuristik in the region
- Last not least we are delighted to have been chosen to tell our success story - explaining the development of a strong life science cluster in the "Together Successful" series of the RegioClusterAgentur for Innovation and Transformation in Baden-Württemberg

Look forward to an entertaining M2M Member to Member special edition in which we put excellent scientists and entrepreneurs and their visionary spirit centre stage. Our first guest is Oliver Stegle, scientist and PI at DKFZ and EMBL with a passion for data, statistics and machine learning.
In January it´s BioRN-Lounge time again and we are looking forward to Jens Puschhof, DKFZ as guest speaker talking about "The Microbiome in Cancer and beyond".
