bioRN News March 2025
The sunny days of March are drawing to a close, but before we look ahead to April, here is a brief summary of the bioRN highlights:

Dear *|FNAME|* *|LNAME|*,

Leveraging potential in the life sciences: for the second time we hosted the bioRN Private Investors` Event, an exclusive event fostering intensive exchange between selected, innovative companies, business angels and private investors. The keynote speech by Prof. Dr. Patrick Most, Aavigen, startup pitches, a presentation of funding opportunities with the L-Bank  and  the impulse from Dr. Andreas Schmidt provided deep insights into the vibrant life science startup landscape of the Rhine-Neckar region and the opportunities to further leverage their potential. A true highlight and a strong signal for innovation and entrepreneurship in the life science community! For more information contact Daniela Weber (dw@biorn.org).

Further more we had an exciting bioRN M2M Member to Member interview with Arcondis: the video is available on our website. Have a look at the on demand videos, they provide valuable information about the companies expertises and therefore offer great business opportunities!

We are proud to announce a new event organised by bioRN in cooperation with BioLabs Heidelberg: Welcome smartLabs Summit!

At the smartLabs Summit, opening its doors on 24 September in the BioLabs Heidelberg premises, exhibitors (lab equipment suppliers) will meet lab managers, technicians and key decision-makers from the research institutes and diagnostic labs actively looking for new solutions. This year´s premier we revolve all around workflow optimisation. Stay tuned at our website and contact us if you would like to exhibit.

But before we focus on this new event, let's take another look at the upcoming German Biotechnology Days and put the spotlight on a symposium that we have organised together with the BiopharmaCluster. Great line up at the joint symposia on >>Novel approaches to new biological modalities<< at the German Biotechnology Days, 9-10 April in Heidelberg. In the panel taking place April 9th from 1- 2:10 pm you will discover insights from leading experts across pharma and biotech on emerging technologies, challenges and solutions.  Visit the bioRN Village on the expo floor and don´t miss the digital partnering -  discover the agenda, find out more about the expo area (bigger than ever!) and - if you haven´t registered yet - move straightly to the website

Let´s now turn the attention to the the European collaboration project PRECISEU, driving innovation in precision medicine:
PRECISEU Call for Applications: The EU project is moving forward and bioRN together with BIOPRO and 25 partner organisations is proud to announce that the Call for Applications on the PRECISEU Best Practice Recognition in Health Data Use for Personalised Medicine& ATMPs is now open. Find more information about this prestigious project on the PRECISEU website.

And another European project in which bioRN is acting as project lead can look forward to the next phase in the exciting competition for the best european startups in the field of biotech, medtec and digital health: EIT Health CATAPULT!
The CATAPULT finalists for the 9th edition will be announced at an exclusive event in Cambridge and the team around our Project Manager Arantxa Encinas-Lopez is thrilled to bring all of them together at the upcoming Get-together in Cambridge. This exclusive event will bring together top innovators and leading investors from across Europe, creating powerful connections that drive the future of healthcare. Want an invite? If you’re an investor, hospital or part of a pharma company interested in attending and connecting with top-notch innovators register here: EIT Health Catapult Get Together - UK Ecosystem
