Every last tuesday of the month at 7 PM
The bioRN Lounge is the monthly networking event for members of the bioRN cluster. We welcome representatives from biotech and life science companies in the bioRN Life Science Cluster, as well as scientists from our research institutes.
Urban Kitchen in Heidelberg
After a short update of bioRN cluster activities and news, an invited speaker from the network presents and discusses scientific trends, breakthrough techniques, outstanding research, and more with the participants.

โข X-chromosome inactivation compensates the difference in X-linked gene dosage between females (XX) and males (XY)
โข X-linked genes that escape X-inactivation contributes to sex differences in many contexts including sex-biased disease predisposition
โข Escape from X-inactivation is directly modulated by levels of Xist non-coding RNA

join the next โM2M โ Member to member sessionโ to meet BioThrust, a spin-off from RWTH Aachen University developing a next generation bioreactor for the efficient manufacturing of cell therapies and stem cells. The core of this bioreactor is BioThrustโs unique membrane aeration technology which for the first time enables an effective completely bubble-free aeration of cell cultivations. With this technology, cell yields can be increased by up to 200%. The bioreactor will be available in sizes 250mL to 2000L. The deep-tech start-up is based in Aachen, Germany.

At bioRN we provide platforms to meet, discuss and cooperate with peers. It is a structured way to exchange on general operational topics of high relevance for SMEs.
The concept is to share hands-on experiences and solutions to common challenges.
