From bioRN's perspective, April can already be described as one of the highlight months of 2025.
The great success and good atmosphere at the German Biotech Days in Heidelberg put our agile life science region in the spotlight - and not just for the 1,000 or so visitors who came to the two days of exciting sessions, discussions, extensive networking and celebrations. The numerous reports in the social media and the coverage by three TV stations (click here for the links) show that biotechnology moves, inspires and finally reaches the interest of the wider public. Further more we had an exciting bioRN M2M Member to Member interview with the IKTZ, showcasing its 3 pillars: blood donation centre, blood bank and stem cell lab. The video is available on our website, please scroll to "past M2M videos" and have a look at the various interviews, they provide valuable information about the companies expertise and therefore offer great business opportunities!
The collaboration with the IKTZ continues: A voluntary blood donation can save lives! That is why we are organising a BBQ for all bioRN members. Mark already your calendar on 10 July for the bioRN summer BBQ ‘Donate blood - bring sunshine’. On this day, the IKTZ blood donation centre will be open for your blood donation. First-time donors are welcome - bring about 1 hour with you’. From 4pm we invite you to a BBQ and networking on the green area in front of the DKFZ Casino. All blood donors can pick up a small gift from us. More infos will come!

News from CATAPULT: Nine of Europe’s most promising health start-ups are heading to the EIT Health CATAPULT finals. BioRN leads this European unique competition & training program that every year showcases 30 life sciences & healthtech startups to leading experts and investors across Europe. This year, the finalists take the stage at HLTH Europe in Amsterdam on 17 June and bioRN members receive a 250,- Euro discount on the ticket. To receive the discount code, please contact us.
