AlphaFold and Beyond: Protein Structure Prediction Workshop by BIMOVIS

AlphaFold and Beyond: Protein Structure Prediction Workshop by BIMOVIS

We are very excited to announce our “AlphaFold and Beyond” Protein Structure Prediction Workshop that will take place on May 8th (in German) and May 9th (in English) in our offices at BioLabs Heidelberg!

This in-person workshop takes 4 hours to complete and includes:

  • Theoretical sessions on Basics of structural biology and Basics of protein modelling
  • Practical session in structural modelling
  • Practical session in interpretation of results
  • Model your own protein
  • Q&A session

Our two speakers, Dr. Florian Altegoer (Group leader at Heinrich-Heine University Düsseldorf) and Dr. Martin Stieler (CEO of BIMOVIS) will take you into  the world of structural modelling – from the basics, through the most recent developments in AI-driven structural modeling, all the way to the points where AI still falls short and why experimental validation remains essential.

Goal: At the end of the workshop, you will be equipped to model proteins using AI-tools such as Chai Discovery (software suitable for commercial use) and interpret the obtained results.

The course is designed for all scientists and managers interested in AI-supported protein modelling, without need for prior knowledge of structural biology or bioinformatics.

The price of the course is €369 (netto) per participant.

Be fast – the workshop is limited to 12 participants on each day!
