Swiss Biotech Day 2026

The power of international collaboration

Since 2021, the Swiss Biotech Day has seen remarkable growth every year and has become a premier global biotechnology conference for life sciences professionals, fostering international collaboration and impactful partnerships. In 2025 it attracted more than 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including 25 international delegations. It was by far the biggest and most international edition of the Swiss Biotech Day ever.

Join the Swiss Biotech Day to network, exchange ideas and explore advances in R&D, manufacturing, data management, AI and innovative financing. In addition, the embedded Global Village provides international delegations a platform to strengthen their ties with the Swiss biotech hub to promote cross-border investments, public-private partnerships, R&D collaborations and the exchange of best practices.

Aufruf: Kostenerstattung für Teilnahme von KMU an Swiss Biotech Day

Das BMFTR bietet deutschen KMU eine Unterstützung für die Teilnahme am Global Innovation und am Swiss Biotech Day in Form einer Kostenerstattung.
Für jeweils ein/e Vertreter/in von maximal 30 deutschen KMU können die folgenden Kosten erstattet werden:

  • Kosten für An- und Abreise von Deutschland nach Basel und zurück
  • Kosten für Unterkunft: maximal 4 Nächte im Zeitraum von 3. bis 7. Mai 2026, gem. aktuellen Sätzen des Bundesreisekostengesetzes (BRKG) bis zu 195 EUR pro Nacht (darüber hinausgehende Kosten müssen selbst getragen werden)
  • Optional: Teilnahmegebühren (registration fee) für Swiss Biotech Day
  • Optional: Verpflegungspauschalen (Tagessätze) nach dem BRKG

Die Kostenerstattung erfolgt grundsätzlich nach den Regelungen und Vorgaben des BRKG. Die Kosten werden rückwirkend nach Abschluss der Reise bei Vorlage entsprechender Belege erstattet.

Voraussetzungen für die Teilnahme

Es gelten die folgenden Voraussetzungen:

  • Unternehmen, die der KMU-Definition der EU entsprechen
  • Unternehmen, die operativ im Bereich der Biotechnologie tätig sind (z.B. Forschung und Entwicklung; Produkte, Verfahren und Dienstleistungen, einschließlich digitaler und datenbasierter Innovationen)

Beide Voraussetzungen müssen erfüllt sein.

Von der Teilnahme ausgeschlossen sind:

  • Unternehmen, die nicht der KMU-Definition der EU entsprechen (z.B. Großunternehmen)
  • Unternehmen mit dem ausschließlichen oder vorwiegenden operativen Geschäft im Bereich der Unternehmensberatung
  • Hochschulen und Forschungseinrichtungen
