May makes everything new: Swiss Biotech Days, EY German Biotech report, CONTACT and more news

May provided some new impressions for bioRN: We attended the Swiss Biotech Days for the first time and, together with our members BIMOVIS, Sciomics, AGC Biologics, Heidelberg Pharma and Trans-Duodenal, flew the flag for our life science region in the Global Village. The joint booth appearance was successful and we will be happy to realise the Global Village again in 2026.

As a premiere bioRN represented the network for the first time at the CONTACT trade fair in the DKFZ where we informed attendees about vacancies in our network. The CONTACT offers great opportunities to connect with young talents from the region interested in learning more about various career paths and job offers, and we are planning to have a stand here again next year.

Strong interest at this year´s EY German Biotech Report presentation:
Biotechnology in Germany - Innovation continues - structural barriers remain.
At this year's presentation of the results of the German Biotech Report around 80 company representatives gathered to the Business Development Center to find out about the results of the EY German Biotech Report and receive an overview of the Swiss Biotech landscape. The program further included a keynote speech by Dr Christoph Antz and a panel discussion. Find results in a nutshell here.

We warmly invite you to a very special summer event – one that’s not only about good vibes, great food, and valuable conversations, but also about solidarity and social responsibility: Our bioRN Summer BBQ with Blood Donation Call! Donate blood at the IKTZ on 10 July – any time during the day, depending on your schedule. At 4:00 PM, we’ll kick off the bioRN Summer BBQ for all donators at the meadow in front of the DKFZ casino – with cold drinks, tasty grilled food, and the chance to reconnect, network, and enjoy the true bioRN spirit.
