PRECISEU launches Open Call to accelerate interregional innovation in personalised medicine

Across Europe, the conversation around personalised medicine is no longer about potential—it is about implementation. The challenge is not only scientific progress, but how to move innovation across regions, systems and stakeholders in a coordinated way.

In this context, the PRECISEU project has launched its Open Call for Joint Interregional Projects (JIPs), opening on 13 April 2026, with the aim of supporting collaborative initiatives that bring together actors from different regions to develop and apply innovative healthcare solutions.

At its core, the call reflects a simple reality: meaningful progress in personalised medicine happens at the intersection of ecosystems. Research organisations, startups, healthcare providers and public actors each hold part of the solution. The Open Call is designed to connect these capabilities and enable projects that can move from concept to real-world application.

The focus is on interregional consortia, encouraging organisations to collaborate beyond national or institutional boundaries. These projects are expected to address shared healthcare challenges, strengthen regional innovation capacity and contribute to more effective and sustainable health systems.

Beyond funding, the initiative is part of a broader effort to create connected innovation ecosystems across Europe, where knowledge, data and practices can circulate more efficiently. PRECISEU itself was built around this objective—linking regions to accelerate the adoption of advanced therapies and data-driven healthcare solutions.

To support applicants, an information webinar on 14 April 2026 will provide guidance on the call’s objectives, eligibility criteria and application process, offering a practical entry point for those interested in building strong proposals.

📅 Key dates:

  • Open Call launch: 13 April 2026
  • Info webinar: 14 April 2026
  • Submission deadline: 14 June 2026

For organisations already working on innovation in personalised medicine, health data or advanced therapies, this is an opportunity to move beyond isolated initiatives and become part of cross-regional collaborations with tangible impact.
