The Heidelberg and Mannheim University Hospitals consortium has taken first place in the Stern hospital rankings

For the first time in 14 years, there has been a change at the top of the hospital rankings, which are published annually by the MINQ Institute in collaboration with Stern. In its very first year of existence, the Heidelberg and Mannheim University Hospitals Consortium has taken first place.

Zusammen mit dem Universitätsklinikum Freiburg (Platz 4) und dem Universitätsklinikum Tübingen (Platz 5) sind gleich drei baden-württembergische Universitätsklinika unter den Top 5. Platz 2 belegt die Berliner Charité, Platz 3 das Universitätsklinikum Schleswig-Holstein in Lübeck und Kiel.  

Professor Dr. Hanns-Peter Knaebel, Vorstandsvorsitzender des Verbunds, freut sich über die Auszeichnung in der Stern-Klinikliste: „Dies ist ein hervorragendes Ergebnis für den Verbund der Universitätsklinika Heidelberg und Mannheim. Zugleich ist diese Spitzenposition ein großer Ansporn für uns, den eingeschlagenen Weg im Verbund weiter gemeinsam zu beschreiten. Unser Ziel ist es, eine Einrichtung internationaler Spitzenmedizin zu formen und gemeinsam mit der Charité und allen anderen universitätsmedizinischen Zentren die Spitzenmedizin in Deutschland weiter zu entwickeln. Ich danke allen Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeitern für ihren herausragenden Einsatz Tag für Tag zum Wohle der Patientinnen und Patienten.“
